I wanted to draw someone with their head back, um, somehow I ended up with this.
There are a few levels of symbolism, but I would rather let you guys interpret it your own way. It has more symbolism than a real story.
She isn't in space, that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. I think that she is actually laying on a platform of some kind, and we just can't see it. I'm not sure why her head is off of the platform when she is otherwise laid out fairly nicely. Originally I thought that she was leaning back like that on her own, but then the fabric and flowers wanted to be in the picture. So I am not sure what she is doing now.
Apparently my pictures sometimes have a mind of their own, like my characters and stories always do.
By the way, if anyone knows of a good tutorial for painting roses, I would love to hear about it. They always look too flat when I try to draw them.

I worked on it for three days, a few hours each day. I don't know how long it took overall.
