Mermaid and a boat

I got a new sketchbook! Well, found it around the house, but basically the same thing, right?

My old ones aren't nearly full, but they're coming to have too much of a set purpose and too much of a well of emotion for me to just practice and doodle in.

Thar iz a boat. The lower picture is separate, and is of a mermaid by rocks watching the shore. I was having fun with muscles and fins and such. And ya, maybe I've watched the Little Mermaid a bit much recently <___< don't judge me.
